I have an amazing group of students. They all have their special abilities and challenges that affect their everyday life. My students love music, outside play, sensory time, and exploring everything they can! I teach in a self-contained school. My students vary as far as their classifications of Autism Spectrum Disorder and other severe disabilities. Although, they may have their challenges, they are inquisitive and willing to learn when provided with the proper resources. It is important for us to follow a routine and keep a positive structured environment. Being so young, and just starting their school career, I have the opportunity to start them off to a road of success. My students participate in Adapted P.E., Adapted Music, Aquatics therapy, OT, PT, and Speech as well as receive services in a full day program from myself, a special education teacher. This is all part of early intervention!
