The fish tunnel and the weighted blanket are two items students could use in the sensory room. The items in the sensory room will include movement items, deep pressure items, visual items, tactile items, scented items, and auditory items. These items will cover most of the different sensory needs. With the help of the Sensory Room my students will be able to self-regulate their emotions and behaviors. Each student that needs sensory activities would be given a sensory diet that includes activities to specifically help them during their school day. Some students would have scheduled sensory times, other students would need to use the sensory room when their behaviors escalate.
