Math is very important and this magazine can foster my students' love of learning by correlating math with everyday life. They can practice measurement by reading a story about 2 kid bakers, they can practice graphing by reading about board games, and that's just a start. By engaging them with math magazines, they will get excited about math and reinforce the skills needed to help them succeed on the FSA. Because my students are ESOL, they have to want to learn even more, and any work has to pique their interest since the work is harder for them. This magazine will be used during math centers as well as homework. Because it's not a typical worksheet, students are more enthusiastic about it.

About my class
