Help me spend less time prepping and more time teaching so my students can learn in a more hands-on way. My request is for Cricut machine with all the necessary materials to use in my classroom for multiple purposes. The Cricut can be used to create individual flash cards, words sorts, writing prompts, bulletin boards and creative extension projects. I would use the machine to help my beginning and struggling readers work with their phonics and sight word recognition. These literacy games would enable them to learn more creatively and quickly. Additionally, as the school-wide literacy coach, I would use the Cricut machine to help my fellow teachers create similar products, bulletin boards and liven up their teaching and classroom. Many of my students come from neglected environments that are dark and dreary, I would like to use the Cricut machine to make the classrooms, hallways and our new Esperanza Center for Student and Families a bright and inviting space- a space that the students would take pride in and want to enjoy every day.
