Aloha and a big Mahalo for checking out my page! I am the ELL coordinator and teacher at Kahuku High and Intermediate School on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. My students come from all over the world to learn English. I am extremely lucky&proud to have such amazing students who desire & are motivated to learn English. Some countries that our students come from include: Samoa, Tonga, Japan, China, Philippines, Brazil, Thailand, Tahiti, Fiji, Kiribati, etc. Everyday I get the opportunity to learn from my students. I enjoy learning about where they come from and I actively foster a community where they can teach the other students about their countries and cultures. All of that being said our school does not receive much funding. I appreciate anything you can help us out with to create and foster a more comfortable and happier environment for learning. P.S. did I mention it's hot in our classrooms? eek!! :(
