My students will use the laptops during Robotics Club to conduct research and to program their EV3 robots that were donated to them. The laptops that my students are currently using are either out of date, missing keys, or broken. We've contacted our district's technology department to have them fixed but our laptops were out of warranty 5 years ago and so they no longer service them. To have a successful Robotics club, my students need working laptops. Through our Robotics Club, students will have STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) experience that will challenge them to start thinking like a robotics engineer by encouraging them to create solutions to fun, kid-friendly problems. Students will build and program their robots in the weeks before the competition and they need access to these building instructions online. Students will continuously use the laptops to explore videos/websites and expand their learning in the field of robotics.
