My highly diverse classroom thrives off music and rhythm. I am looking to acquire a series of culturally diverse instruments like African Drums, Latin Maracas, and Chinese percussion instruments to not only help engage students by connecting to their culturally, unique backgrounds, but also to demonstrate the rhythm and patterns in many literacy elements like poems and folktales. By donating to this project you are bringing a unique musical style of learning to my classroom. I am positive this learning style will engage my students to become more fluent and accurate readers as well as increase their reading comprehension skills.
