This project is tied to state standards and will help my students better understand magnetic fields. A field model will be used to explain how two objects can exert forces on each other without ever touching. Students will experience the power of magnetic forces and will research where these forces are used in everyday realities. This lab is a real world application that allows the students to understand how these items affect their daily life. Students will also conduct a hands-on lab to create an electromagnet. During that lab students will be competing to see which creation can lift the most items.
