The Flat Stanley books will give my students many benefits! These books are written at their instructional level, but will also give room for growth as my kiddos are English Language Learners. These books will also give my students the opportunity to see the world through Flat Stanley's adventures so that they can see that the world is a much larger place than just their backyard. Adventures grow our imagination as education will grow our minds! With our Flat Stanley books, my students will not only be practicing their reading, but they will also be able to practice their writing skills! Our goal is to write letters to friends or family members in other states in order to get a glimpse of their town. The communication will be held via letters, but will be read aloud to the class in order to practice our oral communication skills as well! Along with reading and writing practice, the Flat Stanley books will also allow us to practice our geography skills! Each time a student receives a letter back from their pen pal, we will mark and discuss the location of their Flat Stanley.
