I am the Literacy Coach at a Title One Elementary School, where we serve 4 Year Old Child Development through 5th grade students in an Arts Integrated environment. My primary role is to help improve literacy outcomes for students. I am also the coordinator for our intervention programs within the classroom and for our interventionists in reading and math. Our teachers and students work hard everyday to reach their goals and we celebrate the success of individuals and groups. We also value the individual talents that each of our students have and use arts integration lessons, research based interventions, and collaboration to help ensure all of our students are successful. Each year we give away books at the spring bookfair and at an end of the year book swap to provide books for students to read at home.
