My students will benefit from having level books available to them for guided reading and independent reading. Guided reading allows them to have a shared reading experience. They can share their thoughts and feelings about the book with peers at their level. It allows them to dig deep and address their needs in order to grow as a reader. Leveled reading books are also helpful in encouraging to read. Most of my students don't have the opportunity to get independent reading books outside the classroom, which can discourage them from reading. Having leveled reading books easily available in the classroom allows my students to grow as readers.
