Our school district is implementing a new reading and writing curriculum. EL Education is a curriculum with emphasis placed on active learning and student engagement. Classrooms are structured with highly collaborative activities that allow students to engage in academic conversations and investigations of rich academic topics. This selection of unique, complex texts relating to the high interest topic of "frog" will be utilized to engage, excite, and inform learners about all types of frogs as they challenge readers to develop rich conversations and learning processes. These texts will provide a foundation for students to grow in the 4 C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking, as well as educate them about super cool, fascinating frog facts!
