I teach kindergarten in Louisiana in a high need community. Our school suffered much damage from Hurricane Katrina. We lost nearly everything after the storm and continue to rebuild both our classrooms and school. Many of our students face challenging lives at home. We feel a great responsibility to make school a secure place for them.
