The children absolutely love working in small groups with my para and me during center time. These kits have allowed us to guide meaningful conversations, ask open-ended questions, and support students as they explore and investigate new concepts. It has been amazing to see how naturally they step into the role of \"little scientists.\"\r\n\r\nDuring our science centers, students eagerly make predictions before beginning an activity. They share their ideas with confidence, explain their thinking, and listen thoughtfully to the ideas of their peers. As they test their predictions, they observe changes, compare results, and discuss what they notice. These moments are powerful because they show true engagement in the learning process. The children are not simply completing tasks; they are thinking critically, asking questions, and making real-world connections.\r\n\r\nWe have also seen tremendous growth in collaboration and communication skills. Students are learning how to take turns, problem-solve together, and respectfully share materials. The hands-on nature of the kits has encouraged even our quieter students to participate more actively. They are excited to touch, build, test, and explore, and that excitement carries over into other areas of the day.\r\n\r\nIn addition to strengthening science skills, the kits have supported vocabulary development and confidence. Words like \"predict,\" \"observe,\" \"experiment,\" and \"conclude\" are becoming part of our everyday classroom language. The students are proud of their discoveries and eager to explain what they have learned.
