As a school counselor in my second year, I would like to hold small group counseling sessions with students. I currently do not have a comfortable place to seat a small group of four. Students will be more likely to open up to me and discuss their issues if they feel warm and welcome. Having this table and chair set will allow my room to have a more home-like feel to it. Providing group counseling sessions often requires board games and worksheets. This set will provide the area we need in order to accomplish our group goals. My students deserve a nice area for this type of weekly work. Right now I have four mismatched chairs and a table that is very old and falling apart. It just does not convey the home-like atmosphere I want to come across to my students during their emotional learning.
