My students all are hard working, bright, interesting individuals. They participate in the rigorous New York City Public Education general education standards. They come to the vision resource room several times every day to receive vision services, orientation and mobility, and utilize technology to access their classroom materials. In addition to taking their classroom exams and quizzes in our room, they all take their standardized tests such as SAT's and Regents in our room. These tests take them many hours because they receive extra time. Our classroom has no windows or ventilation. A portable air conditioner would make it much more comfortable for them to test and lead to greater educational success.
