If we received 3 more iPads, as requested, children would be able to work together on math and literacy centers. Currently we have only 1 iPad per classroom, so only one child is able to use it at a time, or they can share with one other student. I have been working very hard this year at helping students learn to work with groups-learning how to share, compromise, discuss ideas, and collaborate- skills that they will need as they grow up. It is hard to do this when you only have one 'tech tool' to use. Unfortunately, having only one iPad makes it so that it is rarely taken out or is used as a privilege, when it should be used regularly and as a common tool in classrooms in 2018.
