Our classroom is in need of literacy supplies such as alphabet and sight word games. Also, stylus pens to use with our iPad Mini's will also help with fine motor skills. Technology is prevalent in our society, but in kindergarten, careful planning is required. My goal is to make certain students are not just touching with their finger, but learning proper grip by using a stylus pen when we play our games or read our books on the iPads. Block tiles and a puppet theater will help us bring our books to life. Our shared reading plan for our weekly focus needs engaging, fun, and creative ways of learning the characters, setting, author's purpose, and main idea. Reading and phonemic awareness is crucial for future success.
