With this project, my students will become familiar with technology they do not have access to at home. They will learn basic logic by stringing together blocks of code. Students will work together to solve problems and will have to persevere to reach their goal. They will have to analyze a problem and break it down into smaller pieces in order to give the robots a series of instructions to complete a task. The Dash & Dot Robots are deceptively sophisticated technology-the youngest students will learn the basics of coding, but older students will be challenged with more complicated tasks. The Code Challenge Card Box set will allow me to give the most advanced students tasks beyond my own current abilities.
