I would like to supply my classes with a set of UNICEF Kid Power Bands. In my Physical Education Classes, I am always looking for fun and creative ways to make being active fun and meaningful for all of my students. The Unicef Power Bands will help me incorporate other areas into my lessons, such as math, geography, technology, and literacy. With this "fitbit" style activity tracker, myself and my students will be able to monitor and record movement during daily Physical Education classes. I would like to map out a trip across the country, and calculate the miles it would take to reach our destination. Once a distance is determined, I would create a competition between PE classes to see which class could log the needed miles to reach our destination. We would keep a log for each individual class, and each student would keep an individual log and write in their journal as they reach certain landmarks along the journey. This would allow me to assist classroom teachers by having students working on their core subjects while being physically active during Physical Education. I look forward to coming up with many different ways to utilize the Unicef Power Bands to help my students grow in many different areas of their education.
