Each day, my third-graders are reading for 30-45 minutes at a time and need lots of books to help independently practice skills taught during the lessons. These materials will make a difference in my student's learning by providing them with exciting, high-interest texts that support the lessons taught during our mystery unit in reading workshop time. Third graders are finishing several books per week, so acquiring these titles will give my students access to a variety of mysteries at their just right reading level. Titles such as The Clubhouse Mysteries, Nancy Drew and the Clue Crew, Doyle and Fossey Science Detectives, Milo and Jazz Mysteries, Nate the Great, and Young Cam Jansen have been requested in pairs as students will read alongside their reading partners, collaborating and supporting each other as they read through the stories and solve the mysteries. Your generous donations will not only help support the acquisition and growth of basic skills in reading but will also help cultivate a love for reading in the lives of my students. Thank you!
