This requested height adjustable desk will be the cornerstone of transferring the classroom into one with alternative seating. Currently, the classroom has desks attached to chairs, which is inconvenient and uncomfortable. The traditional set-up has been shown time and time again to make things more difficult for the learning environment. By changing to alternative seating (standing desks, stools, bean bags, floor chairs) the work environment will more ergonomic and efficient, while also allowing students to buy into the school. Our students come from struggling backgrounds and often find themselves looking at the faults of the school. What may look like just a desk will represent the modernization of the classroom and let the students know that we are working to give them the best materials for their education.
