I feel that getting books into the hands of children is critical to learning and learning to love reading.\r\n\r\nThe new books arrived too late for the read under the stars event. I shared many other books and prizes for the event. Once the books arrived, I catalogued them into our library and classrooms. Having ordered multiple copies of some, I was able to have students do some shared reading. I added to series that I already have in the library.\r\n\r\nThe event was wonderful with our neighboring school. Our students received awesome reading bags with prizes and were able to choose 3 books from the tables. They later received plush animal prizes.Thank you to those who donated. I ended up paying the balance out of my own pocket. I consider it an investment in our children's future.","fullyFundedDate":1757197079801,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-and-community-under-the-stars/9608397/","projectTitle":"Literacy and Community Under the Stars","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Rupprecht","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9748008"},{"teacherId":9486623,"projectId":8307066,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, our classroom has transformed into a more organized, focused, and inquiry-driven space for science learning. The new organizers have become more than just storage—they're now central tools in how we explore, collaborate, and connect ideas.\r\n\r\nThe organizers are now a central part of our daily routines. Students use them to store lab tools, worksheets, journals, and visual aids for ongoing projects. During a recent science activity, students explored patterns in nature and used the organizers to keep track of their observations and group discussions. Having everything in one place made the learning process smoother and more meaningful.\r\n\r\nWhen the organizers first arrived, students were thrilled. Many commented on how much easier it was to stay on task and keep their materials in order. The excitement was clear—they felt more prepared and more like scientists in action.
