The students in my classroom all have some form of sensory deprivation disorder. These students require additional movement and sensory breaks to help with their self-regulation. The projector will allow for a large screen where the students can look, follow, and most importantly MOVE! Movement breaks help my students regulate their emotions so they may have better focus throughout the day. For example, while transitioning from specials to individual work, we would utilize the projector for a movement break first. Then, our students will have received their sensory input and will not be needing while they are trying to focus on instruction. The projector is not just for movement breaks, but will also be used during circle time. There are so many educational videos that help teaching rote counting, letter identification, and introducing thematic units. This will be a very versatile utility!
