Due to the low number of students in the ESL program at my school, we are often relegated to a small classroom. At the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, our room did not have a whiteboard and there were no student desks. We were given a fold-up table and four plastic chairs. Despite this, my students came to class prepared and hopeful. We found furniture and made do with what we had. With my own money, I purchased comfortable pillows, rugs and lamps. We need ball chairs. Next year, I will be given a bigger classroom. My only hope is that this bigger room will be well-furnished and inviting to my students. Thank you!
