The majority of my students will not bring in earbuds and good headphones are essential to their learning. Second graders need good over the head headphones so they can actually hear what stories they're reading on Reading A-Z or working on ST Math and Education Galaxy. These headphones will ensure my students can hear what they're learning and they will be assessed accurately during progress monitoring. Flexible seating and clipboards will help ensure that my students can work in a place that is suitable for their learning style and simply create an environment they are comfortable in. I do have students with special needs that are self-contained in my classroom, Giving them options in seating styles will help them. Focusing on social emotional learning and their needs is a huge endeavor for myself as a teacher. I would like to offer my students the ability to move about our class and learn in a way they physically feel comfortable in.
