Whenever I tell my classes that they will be playing drums there are almost always cheers. I always love seeing the enthusiasm my students have as we sit in a drum circle. We learn to play rhythms, work as a group, be considerate and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Sadly, the budget I am allocated each year can only provide small drums that can be difficult for even little hands to play and produce a low quality sound without using up most of the money, leaving me little room for the other materials needed for all the fun we have. These drums will provide my students with a high quality music making experience. These new drums are big enough for my students to experiment with the sounds they can create my playing on different parts of the drums. The size of the head and the raised bottom will create a quality tone with little effort.
