Because of their disabilities, the constant activity within my students' bodies and minds get in the way of their learning. Tools such as sensory vests, active learning stools, fidgety feet bands and anti-distraction bands allow these kids to manage their behavior so they can focus on being successful, independent learners. When a flower doesn't bloom, we change the environment in which it grows. Every child deserves to feel the pride that comes from trying. My hope is that with your help, we will be able to provide my class with the supports that they need (like we would glasses, crutches or a hearing aid) so that they can get on with the business of learning.

About my class
