My students struggle with social/emotional needs and control. Every day we work hard on strategies to help us calm and return to class to be effective learners. I am trying to create a space in my school where my students can come and work on regulation. Often my students need breaks for social/emotional regulation and this room could help. We work hard with our students to teach them strategies to self-regulate. One thing we are lacking is the proper tools to do that. My students need sensory fidgets, pressure spaces, and body socks. They deserve the tools to help them implement their self-regulating strategies.
