Right now, the majority of my students do not have their own books and rely on online books or whatever is within reach for their reading materials. I would LOVE to give each of my students a copy of a favorite chapter book that they can read at home with their parents, read along during our weekly meetings, and have discussions in small class "book clubs". I know my students will love this unit, as it really makes them ponder different points of view and helps teach them to reason, raising critical thinking skills. Regardless of distance learning meetings, they will have a book of their own to read with their family that I hope will inspire them in many ways.
