I chose individual desks because my classroom is full of tables that take up too much space. As my class sizes keep increasing, some of my students have a hard time staying on task when it is time to work independently. The lack of options when changing my seating chart (which happens more often than it should) is very frustrating and disappointing. Sometimes the simple things make a big difference. Being able to use flexible seating will allow my students to focus on what is most important, their brilliance. And having storage space will help me to focus less on mess.
