As an English teacher I strive to include books that are engaging and relatable to my students. “To Kill a Mockingbird,” is a timeless classic that teaches many life lessons and deals with relevant life issues such as racism, education, and social inequality. By having graphic novels, not only will my students become more engaged in reading, but they will be able to have a visual representation of the reading, thus making the content more comprehensible. My hope is that through reading this graphic novel, not only will my students get the chance to read an amazing book, but it will continue to foster their love of reading.

About my class
