We have recently added two early childhood special education classes in addition to Success and ABLE (Academic and Behavior Learning Environment) who already attend our school. We lack sufficient boards books to meet the current need of our students as these programs continue to grow. Board books will help our youngsters with physical handicaps who have not developed fine motor skills to successfully turn pages. Our students will be introduced to classics in a more durable type of book. These sturdy books are the beginning of teaching book care. These books will also allow these early readers become more comfortable in the library and experience the freedom of self selecting their books.
