Children are naturally drawn to music. My children will benefit from the musical instruments we are asking for. As per the ECERS guideline recommendations we find our music center is lacking. Drums, egg shakers, instruments from around the world and rainsticks will broaden our ability to make music. Children will participate in both group experiences and free play with these instruments. Cultures from around the world will be represented and embraced. We hope to enrich the daily experience of the children in our class by sharing music and musical instruments with them. Children will be exposed to songs, chants, rhythms and invited to join in and play along. They will be encouraged to listen for beats and identify musical patterns.

About my class
