The book, Hatchet, will provide my students the opportunity to be apart of a book club. They enjoy reading together and sharing their ideas about the story and the events that are happening in the story. Hatchet is a book about survival and overcoming obstacles. My students will relate to this story! Students are more actively engaged when reading with peers and having a copy for each student will promote active listening and aid in comprehension. Students often looks to peers for motivation and working within leveled groups allows them to build their confidence knowing that their group members are all "on the same page."

About my class
