My classroom has a vibrant and diverse array of learners. My second grade students rise to the occasion when I create challenges and set the bar high by using depth and complexity tools. As an educator, my purpose is to inspire, create purpose, and to guide students to find their passions. I implement a variety of activities, such as STEM-based tasks, problem-based learning, and art-integrated lessons, to engage students into exploring the world around them and valuing their power as a learner. My classroom is a bustling room full of bright students who at times, need to find their voice and be shown the power of knowledge. Our classroom dynamic is one where I value the social and emotional needs of the students as equally important as their academic progress. My philosophy as teacher has always been to create life-long learners by showing empathy, understanding, and "power of yet."
