My students will be able to use the tablets to conduct research, connect with students in other countries and schools through Skype, and to practice reading and math skills through educational apps. I have students of all ability levels from special ed to gifted and talented and these tablets will allow me to differentiate their instruction when they are in station rotations. We have 45 minutes of station activities daily where students are able to practice new concepts and continue working on concepts they struggle with. Technology is so prevalent for children these days and having it available at school for those who may not have access to it at home would be fantastic.
