I would like to create an environment where my students can choose where to sit. If they want to sit on the floor, they will have a confortable cushion to sit on, or a stability ball, or the comfy floor seats. All of these will help them concentrate and stimulate their learning. We need a sturdy kidney table (the one that we have is as old as our school, 25 wonderful years) to work during small group, a table that doesn't wiggle while work. The comfy Floor Seat, the Flex-Space Wobble Cushion and the Flex-Space Balance Ball Seat will be used at the place where they do either independent work or group work. By having a flexible seating arrangement, this will allow them to release energy while they are doing their work. Movement is very important for young children. For most of them Kindergarten is their first experience in a classroom setting. My goal as a teacher is to have a safe and loving environment for my students that will help them be lifelong learners and be productive and caring citizens.
