In an attempt to bring more diversity, perseverance, and variety to my small book collection, I am requesting a donation to add to my read aloud and independent reading classroom. library. These materials will bring perspectives from other cultures, role models, and problem solving examples to my students, along with some high-interested non-fiction reading! Students love to be read-to as well as reading on their own, so a good variety of classroom discussion books (restorative practices) and realistic fiction, fantasy, and the natural world is important to add to their experiences. I want students to become life-long readers and learners and find it only takes one book, the right book, to take them in that direction!
