I hope to provide my students with access to a GoPro Karma Drone. This device will be utilized immediately within the 5th grade ELA, Science, and Social Studies curriculums. Students will be able to fly the drone and study student/teacher created film of various ecosystems and historic sights in Wilmington and Old New Castle. "Drone Day" will be a day that our students will never forget. This device will also benefit the New Castle STEAM Club. Students will be able to design a passion project and practice flying and filming with the drone. Our hope is to instill a love of science and technology in our students, and to provide memorable, cross-curricular learning opportunities. This device will be made available for all teachers at New Castle Elementary School.
