Our school recently created a Makerspace room which the kids (and teachers) are super excited about. Our district has purchased Dot and Dash robots for this room. My students would use the iPad for the coding of Dot and Dash. My students are engaged and learning when I use technology, such as an iPad, as a teaching tool. Through this technology, I can reach all of my students, regardless of their learning style or ability. There are numerous math applications available that are common core aligned and pedagogically sound. Some of our favorites are Geoboard, 5 Dice, which is an Order of Operations Game, iTooch for Middle School, and Brain Pop.
