Theater arts can help build confidence, strengthen public speaking skills, boost reading skills, and most importantly, gives the students something of their own. It also gives them a place to fit in when they may not have that anywhere else in the world. The requested items will help our students be able to put on true stage productions. The items will also allow the students to experience theater arts with the proper equipment to achieve success. They work so hard to meet the demands of the stage, some of them against great odds. Having the proper equipment would make at least one aspect of this easier. The sound system we have at this time is extremely antiquated and only works around twenty percent of the time. Replacing the old system with the listed one and wireless microphones will allow the students to be better heard and practice their craft without screaming to be heard. Our program also includes groups that are backstage, sets, costuming, props, etc. The art supplies requested are for the production of items and sets needed for the plays.
