Paint! Glitter! Butcher Paper! Oh my! These supplies are used on a continuous basis in my student council class. We use a lot of art supplies because we have the never-ending task of creating banners, decorations, and posters for all school events. It's like the Neverending Story but with a beautiful, creative ending! Since student council is responsible for generating the themes for all of the middle school dances, we also have to create all of the decorations to coincide with the chosen theme. Our job of creating banners, posters, and decorations can be challenging for us especially when we run out of paint and other supplies. I usually purchase most items myself but I can not always afford to do so. Having immediate access to supplies helps student council met their deadlines, beautify the school campus, instill school pride, and promotes a positive school atmosphere.
