I have researched and used different types of seating in my classroom. I have noticed many benefits, health and academic, with using flexible seating options in the classroom. My students love the choice of having more than just a chair to sit on during the day. I would love to expand those seating options in my classroom by including a comfortable couch and wobble chairs. Flexible seating will help meet the individual needs in my classroom and give my students the choice to work in the learning environment that works best for them. Flexible classrooms give students opportunities to work and communicate with one another to build relationships with one another. I want to give my students multiple learning spaces in the classroom with various seating options to keep their bodies moving and brains active. This project will help all my students be successful learners and provide various seating options.
