These books will be instrumental in providing information about specific topics. The stories will fuel discussions and conversations amongst students in the group as well as the individual counseling sessions. Stories provide a platform for topics that may be difficult to discuss yet an important part of the child's social and emotional development. The books will be used for individual and group counseling sessions throughout the school year. Each week, I meet with approximately ten social skills groups and approximately twenty individual counseling sessions. Students who visit my office enjoy picking up a book and learning. These books will provide life lessons in a kid friendly format.
