I have a small classroom, which is great because I only have eight students; however, it poses an issue when it comes to distractions in the classroom. When working in small groups, my students often get distracted by others in the classroom. With all of my students having special needs, they get distracted easier than students in a general education classroom. Students with autism often need to be removed from the classroom to calm down. These room dividers would not only allow for me to create a barrier between my small group and others in the classroom, but they would also allow me to create a calm-down area inside of the classroom for students to have alone time. This would benefit the students in my classroom greatly because it would allow the classroom staff to stay in the classroom and allow more instruction time for students.
