The goal of this project is to provide every classroom with a calming kit. These kits will include calming jars, several types of fidget toys as well as strategy cards for both teachers and students to use. The calming kit will include tools for students to use while in class to self-regulate their emotions. Once every classroom has a calming kit, teachers and students will be able to use the kits to encourage self-regulation and return to learning in an efficient manner. This will reduce the amount of instructional time that a student loses. Also, it ensures that teachers are spending more time engaging students to learn content.

About my class
