My history classes rely heavily on online, research based projects that give students a broader spectrum of information. Our current textbook does not cover recent events that we require students to discuss in their research projects. Many students are fortunate enough to have phones or tablets that they can use to look up information, but there are those few students in each class that do not have access to internet during the school day or at home. I would like all students to be afforded the same opportunities in my classroom. The addition of 2 Lenovo chromebooks to my classroom would allow those without personal technology to be adequately equipped with the tools they truly need to thrive.
