I travel to multiple school sites during the week and currently do not have an accurate clinical grade thermometer. Many times the school that I am at may not have a working thermometer available to use. On average, 15-20 students will need their temperatures checked each day. Many of the students that I am caring for are living at or below the poverty level. Some of these students many not have access to a health care provider outside of seeing their school nurse. This makes it even more important that I have the necessary, working equipment in order to properly do my job.
