Have you ever watched a chick hatch out of an egg? Or observe an animal preparing for hibernation? The students in my classroom don't always have the opportunity to experience the world around them, up close and personal. The Let's Find Out magazine will be a resource used by my students to go along with the themes and topics of study that are planned throughout the school year. Students will be able to "read along" with classmates and teachers during small and large group times while continuing their learning through active exploration. This resource will provide opportunities for my students to develop early reading, social studies, science, and math skills while learning about topics such as life cycles, friendships and emotions, and health and safety. In addition to the magazine, my students will be able to further their knowledge about animals and their habitats and healthy habits by looking at vivid pictures and simple text relating to these topics with the books and hands-on activities. Not only will these materials provide learning and exploration in my classroom, but your donation will make it possible for these resources to go home with my students so the conversations and learning can continue with their families.
